Wèicǐ, wǒmen bìxū quánmiàn de, biànzhèng de, lìshǐ de kàn dài gǎigé kāifàng yǔ gǎigé kāifàng jìnchéng zhōng chūxiàn de wèntí, rènqīng gǎigé kāifàng zhōng chūxiàn de yī xiē wèntí bìng bù shì gǎigé kāifàng běnshēn de wèntí, ér jiějué zhè xiē wèntí zé bìxū yào shēnhuà gǎigé kāifàng, jué bù néng zǒu huítóu lù.
For this reason we must comprehensively, investigatively, and with a view to history look at and deal with reform and opening and the problems caused by reform and opening. We should clearly recognize, however, that the problems arising from reform and opening are not inherent but that solving these problems will require intensifying of reform and opening and, absolutely not, by undoing the what has been done.
