在十二生肖里，属猴的人被冠上了幽默、机智、活泼等性格标签。这给一些聚会制造了话题，比如一个人到了一个有陌生人存在的饭局或聚会上，如果在聚会中被问及属相，还有可能会被问及具体出生年月，在分析性格之余，还会来探讨一番年度运势，几月到几月可能会遇到哪方面的问题。其余的聚会人员可能会根据自身或周围人的例子，来表示赞同或提出不同意见。如此一番沟通下来，原本熟悉或陌生的人都会被拉近距离。
从社交的意义上讲，属相、星座都是很容易破冰的话题，就算陌生人之间聊起来，也没压力和负担，也不会冷场。但是，属相真的靠谱吗?属猴的人真的就是这些性格?
