螽斯羽，詵詵兮，宜爾子孫，振振兮！
Ye locusts, winged tribes,
How harmoniously you collect together!
Right is it that your descendants
Should be multitudinous!
螽斯羽，薨薨兮，宜爾子孫，繩繩兮！
Ye locusts, winged tribes,
How sound your wings in flight!
Right is it that your descendents
Should be as in unbroken strings!
螽斯羽，揖揖兮，宜爾子孫，蟄蟄兮！
Ye locusts, winged tribes,
How you cluster together!
Right is it that your descendents
Should be in swarms!

「螽（音鈡，粵音中）」：一種直翅目昆蟲
「詵（音身，粵音辛）」：同莘莘，衆多的樣子
「宜」：多
「振振（音真，粵音真）」：繁盛的樣子
「薨（音轟，粵音轟）」：成群的昆蟲一起飛的樣子
「繩繩」：延綿不絕的樣子
「揖揖」：同集，會聚
「蟄蟄（音執，粵音姪）」：衆多的樣子
